Carbonfund.org signs on with NEXT Road Trip Rally to Offset Carbon Impact of event.
We tried out multiple routes through the entire north east over the last 2 years, and after traveling countless miles, shaking hundreds of hands, and taking a lot of great pictures, we finally settled on the best one. This route will be revealed to each team the morning of each day of driving that will lead from one checkpoint to the next and ultimately, to the finish line. As each team travels between checkpoints, there will be scenic locations to stop at, activities to engage in, and points of interest you probably would never find on your own. Our crews have decided on an average speed that each team will attempt to maintain over the course of the entire route. A target time has been calculated for each day of driving, making the real challenge staying on course, or if you get sidetracked, finding a way to make up for lost time. The daily winner will be decided based on the team that has the least deviation from the target timeframe, if you are too slow OR too fast, you will be penalized!

These are just examples, and not the actual route. But after looking at these you should have an idea of what kind of distances will be traveled daily, and what kind of spots we think are worth seeing (maybe next year!).
